Sweet and Sultry

Hi! it's 14th Fabruary. For some of you girls, today might be your special day and you might want to look good for the romantic dinner or a night out. I prepared a tutorial for a sweet yet still have that sultry look to it :) I'm using the Too Faced A Few of My Favourite Things Palette for the whole eyes and cheeks. I hope you enjoy this and may this can help you girls :D

The products i'm using:
1. Too Faced A Few of My Favourite Things Palette
2. Loreal Lucent Magique Foundation in shade G4
3. MAC Pro Concealer Palette in Medium
4. Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Banana
5.MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Soft & Gentle
6. MAC Paint Pot in Painterly
7. Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner in Brown
8. MUA Pro Brow Palette

My Bare Face *peace* haha

Step 1: Prime the eyelid. You would want a perfect canvas before put on some colour on it.

Step 2: Apply 'taffy' all over the lid.

Step 3: Apply 'Woolen Mittens' on the crease.

Step 4: With you finger, apply 'Coquet' on the centre of the lid.

Step 5: With a pencil brush, apply 'Soiree' on the outer V and the lower lashline to deepen the part.

Step 6: Apply eyeliner (with wing/flick of course) and I'm choosing brown to make it less dramatic. Remeber to line the tight and waterline too to define the shape of your eye.

Step 7: Apply mascara and falsies :D you can skip the falsies part if you like to.

Step 8: Using a fluffy brush, I blend a bit of 'Raindrops on Roses slightly over the crease and blend it below 'Soiree' on lower lashline.

Step 9: Clean any fall out and start applying foundation. Apply concealer on top of your foundation and set it with loose powder. I also did some soft contouring using 'Chocolate Soleil' from that palette.

Step 10: Apply 'Raindrops on Roses' on your cheek using your favourite blush brush.

Step 11: Apply some highlighter on your cheekbone, down the bridge if your nose and on the cupid's bow for that glowing look.

Step 12: Line your lips using a dark pink lipliner, I'm using NYX retractable lipliner in Grape Fruit.

Step 13: Apply Lipstick. This is Fig by NYX round lipstick.

Tadaaaaaa... finish look :D

Before and after look :D

Till then, bye!

Top 10 products of 2013

Hi! I don't know how I managed to narrow down my top 10 picks for 2013 but here it is..

10. Maybelline Rocket Mascara

It's super black, affordable, clump free and easy to remove :D

9. Real Technique Expert Face Brush

Favourite brush to apply liquid foundation. Seriously, u guys need to get thisss!

8. Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery BB Sunblock SPF50 in Nude

Not a fan of heavy sunblock, so my friends suggested this. Totally designed for me! haha. The watery texture is so soft and light to the skin and I would  buy in the clear version so I can wear this on my hands too.

7. Maybelline Crayon Brow pencil in Brown

I have tried sooo many different brow pencil, but I keep going back to this one.

6. Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Liner in Black

Had this for quite a long time, and believe me it doesn't dried out yet! Affordable and super black. Love it!

5. Urban Decay Naked Palette

Wanted this for soo long, I finally get it on my birthday last year. Totally worth every penny! My favourite shadows are virgin, sidecar, buck, smog and darkhorse.

4. NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams

Couldn't decide which one is my fav because I love them all equally! I only got three shades from the range, From left: Antwerp, Stockholm and San Paolo. Wear it sheer or opaque, it is totally versatile. (And smells nice too!)

3. Urban Decay Naked Skin

When many chose Revlon Colorstay as their top foundie for 2013, I chose this one simply because.. It feels light on my skin and the finish look is natural and doesn't look (and feel) too heavy. But the lasting power is not so great compared to colorstay. It does wear off on my face especially on my nose area (tend to get really oily there) after several hours.

2. Bioderma Makeup Remover solution (I hope this is right as I couldn't understand the french on the lable >.<)

Remove makeups like magic. haha. Thank you wiida for this baby. Totally in love and will get serious problem to restock it because we can't get it easily here in Malaysia :(

1. MUA Pro-Brow Ultimate Eyebrow Kit

Got this baby end of 2012, and I wore this every single day. yes, every single day. And I still got some left. Creamy and so pigmented and affordable too! Definitely will buy again.

Products that almost be listed are:
1. Revlon Colorstay Foundation
2. Benefit Porefessional
3. MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in soft & gentle
4. MAC extra dimension eye shadow in Zestful
5. Maybelline Hypersharp Liner
6. Maybelline Color Tattoo
7. Wet n Wild Megalast Color in 905D Smokin Hot Pink
8. MAC pro longwear lipcreme in Endless Drama
9. Nivea Lip Butter in Vanilla & Macadamia Kiss
10. Maybelline Pure Concealer Mineral Healthy Natural Concealer

Some of my favourite Brushes throughout 2013
1. Sigma E35 Tapered Blending for eyeshadow blending
2. Coastal Scent BR-C-S18 Medium Synthetic Angle Liner for eyebrow
3. Sigma F40 Large Angle Contour for blush
4. Real Technique Multi Task Brush for powder

That's all.

Makeup Wishlist

2013 will be ending soon and will make way for 2014. I recently just got the courage to get serious in makeup service and starting to receive bookings for various event such as dinner, photoshoot, engagement and wedding. So I hope 2014 will bring more experience for me in this field as I want to learn more and practice more so the skills can be improved.

As I am a newbie in this MUA thingy.. my kit is not that great. Yeah I got quite a large number of makeups to be used for myself.. but it is not enough for to be used on various types of people. The clients/customers will not have the same skin condition as I have, and the skin colour is not going to be the same as I am, nor the sensitivity towards the products will also be different. So, I need more makeup! hahaha.

This is my wishlist and I really hope I can save up some money for these.

1. NARS Sheer Glow Foundation

2. MAC Prolongwear Concealer

3. MAC Concealer Palette

4. MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural

5. Makeup Forever HD Foundation

6. Makeup Forever HD Translucent Powder

7. Benefit Porefessional (full size, because I have the mini one, courtesy of Wiida. Thanks Yda totally loving it!)

8. Laura Mercier Foundation Primer - Radiance

9. MAC Blush in Pink Swoon and Melba

10. MAC Eye Shadow Palette (Of course building it a little at time, I really wanted to own one >.<) Desired shadows: Charcoal Brown, Sketch, Swiss Chocolate, Woodwinked, Coppering and All That Glitters)

11. Benefit Gimme Brow
\

huhu. I hope I can keep building my kit with these stuffs from time to time. Okay. ikat perut! hmmpphhh!
