Butterfly Project Chapter 4: Mr Lens shopping experience

Hai! sorry for a very long hiatus. I was busy with my FYP and other school's assignments and I just submitted my final draft, so it should be okay now to blog hehe.

I have been given an opportunity by Butterfly Project to write a review on a shopping experience at Mr Lens Malaysia. Thanks Butterfly project and Mr Lens! :)

Mr Lens is an online shop to buy contact lenses and glasses for your precious eyes. Remember whenever you need to restock your lenses but you are so busy to go to the optic shop just to buy a pair or few pairs of lenses? Well, technology made it easier, girls :D We can now shop the lenses on-line! yeayyyyy!! And plusss.. The price offered in Mr Lens is the same and lower compared to walk in to optic shop for lenses shopping. 

Shopping at Mr Lens is soo easy and the website is so user friendly. I did not experienced any trouble throughout ordering the lenses and I received within 2 working days! I am soo not going out to buy lenses after this hehehe. This website just save my time and cost. Weeeee!!! >_< (so happy to discover an awesome online shop) 

Just follow this simple and easy 5 steps and you will enjoy your new lenses in as short as one day! *depends on the stock available and location of your shipping address*

STEP 2: Sign up

STEP 3: Start shopping!!!!! Who doesn't love to shop right? hehehe. You can find almost all brands that were sold in optic shop, here! I personally as contact lens wearer, I would have a hardtime to hunt for lenses sales and good deals (especially during festive season) but I never need to do that again because Mr Lens offer such an amazing price for the same products sold at the optic shop! You can see it yourself once you click awesome price! I wear contact lenses all the time and I always stock up my favourite Freshkon Colourblends. The normal price for a pair of lens is about RM60-80 if we buy it at optic shop and we can get deals like buy 2 free 1 during sales sometimes. But Mr Lens offered RM39 for each pair! aaaaaaaaaa!!!! can die la like this hahahhaa. 

STEP 4: Add to cart and choose preferences. The power degree choices is from -0,00 to -10,00 so you don't need to be afraid. With my high eye power degree, I normally need to wait an extra 3 to 4 working days for the stocks to arrive whenever I walk in shopping in optic shop. Mr Lens's policy is about the same, you need to wait extra few days for ordering the stocks, but I personally don't care about it at all because I don't need to go out and drive just to go to the shop twice if I walk in shopping at optic shop. I just need to wait at my house, just wait for the package to arrive. But, throughout my first experience with Mr Lens, I just need to wait for 2 working days after ordering so that is fast!! (My power degree is higher than -5,00 and the policy said for power more than -5,00, customer may need to wait up to 3 days because they need to order the lenses) 

STEP 5: Checkout. Pay and wait for your package to arrive! hihi.

So what did I got for myself? I bought Colourvue 3 Tones in Green >_< I have tried it once few months back in colour violet so this time I chose Green hihi.

The outer ring is dark green nearly black so after the lens blended with my natural eye color (black), the only obvious colour could be seen is the middle ring which is hazel-green. My eyes is quite big and rounded so I do not prefer the "big eye effect" contact lens which has larger diameter. Overall, this contact lens is comfortable for everyday use and it can last up tp 3 months :D

MUA haul, review and swatches

 Assalamualaikum and hi everyone! :)

About 3 weeks ago my friend Wiida and I ordered a LOADS of makeup products from MUA store because they had 50% off storewide! Whoaaa and we went a little overboard.. (as always) and bought a lot lot lot of products hehehe.

After our order being processed and shipped, I expected the parcel to arrive around 2 weeks time. To my surprise... the parcel arrived a week earlier than I thought! HOW COOL IS THAT?? :)

So with a very very very controlled excite face and voice (I don't even know what it means haha), Wiida and I decide to meet up to open this box together :D

 These are my part hehe, quite a lot but to make the shipping cost "worth" i bought this much haha.

1. 12 Shade Palette Heaven and Earth

I love love love this palette. We used natural shades for like everyday. So, another natural shades palette won't do any harm to me and my collection :3 The shades are more like warm tone so it compliment my skin tone very well. I didn't go well with cool tone color (eyeshadow, lipstick). Very highly recommend  for you that have quite tanned skin. All of the eyeshadows are very pigmented and shimmery. If you like matte eyeshadow, sorry to tell you that this palette did not offer that.

2. The Artiste Collection: Artiste Palette

I bought this palette because it looks kinda cool with marble eyeshadows and complete with blushers, bronzer and highlighter. But I kinda feel a bit regret buying this haha because the colour selection is a bit unattractive. i know i will never use the shade 1 (very left) and the shade 3 (blue hue) haha because i don't like those color. But i tried using eyeshadow in shade 6 (very right) and complete my look with the blush and highlighter for a day out with my brothers. I started to like it back hahaha because it is easy and very travel friendly as you don't have to carry a lot of stuffs, just bring this palette and you are ready :)

3. Pro-Base Complexion Kit (Nude)

This is probably the only thing i bought that i really really regret buying and don't have any plan to keep it either haha. I HATE this palette. It is a palette with cream foundation, cream concealer and cream illuminizer. The colour has pink-undertone and i am tanned so it does not match at all. The creamy texture is so thick and after applied to the skin and it looks very cakey. Luckily i bought it with 50% off.

 4. MUA powder blush and Creamy Blush

So here is a funny story. I bought 1 of the blush to give to my friend as souvenir from Liverpool (Back then in July 2012) and she really loves it and raved about how brilliant the blush is. So, I decide to buy tons of it hihi. originally, there are 6 shades from the powder blush range but only 4 shades available and I got 3 of them. The other 1 is deep plum shade and i don't know how to wear strong colour like that. And as it got 50% off, i bought the cream blush as well :)

 5. MUA Bronzer and Shimmer Kiss Bronzer

I never have a bronzer powder and i really want to to try some but the one selling in our local drugstore are a bit expensive for the one who just want to 'try' and start using them. So without any hesitation, i bought 2 of them :) hahaha. and Shimmerkiss bronzer is actually not a bronzer. It's more to a highlighting powder. Everything works really well despite their low price, except that Shimmer Kiss bronzer has this unpleasant chemical smell which i don't like.

6. MUA Pro-Brow Ultimate Eyebrow kit

I wanted to try this brow palette. It is really good and a pretty 'complete' brow kit. It comes with a mirror, brow powder in 2 shades (dark brown and light brown) , highlighter powder, and a 'setting' brow gel. It also comes with a mini tweezer and an angled brush (but I lost them, hence, no picture). I love everything about this palette except for the dark brown shade of brow powder is a bit reddish.. and it looks unreal on me haha.

7. Sheer Finish Lipgloss and Out There Plumping Lip Gloss

To be honest, I don't own any single lip gloss right now in my collection. Thus, I bought all of these :3 hahaha.  I prefer matte finishes lip colour rather than glossy but sometimes I also want to feel girly girly and put some gloss on my lips to feel sexy (LOL?) but I realized I don't have any :/ So i bought a bunch this time! hahaha.

Sheer Finish Lipgloss is just the ordinary sheer lipgloss in a tube (15ml) So it's good to be wear on top of any lip colour instead of just applying it alone. Especially when you have pigmented lips like mine, you might want to avoid applying sheer gloss without any lipcolor underneath it.

Out There Plumping Gloss is an extraordinary lipgloss! It's very pigmented and you can wear it alone, without applying any lip color underneath it (of course you can do it if you want). And the colour I got here are so pretty :3 BUT..... when i was trying this product,  I felt a little burnt on my lips. And it doesn't got any better afterwards. So I wiped it off and looked in the mirror and my lips look kinda red and irritated. I tried both of the colors to reassure it and yea it's because of the gloss. So sad because the color is soooo pretty :( I don't know if it only happens to me or to everyone using it. Maybe i'm allergic to one of the ingredient, I don't know.

8. Matte Perfect Primer

Before this, I always just using Significant Day Cream as my makeup primer/base (I will write a post about this product later) but I wanted to try out the makeup primer and i decide to buy this one. When we unboxing the parcel and look at the product, we were a bit dissapointed because the size is smaller than we expected. It's only 15ml. But the texture of this primer is so smooth and blends with skin very well. 

I tried out this product, using it alone with loose powder as finishes and using it underneath foundation for a fuller look. I would say, it works better underneath foundation rather than using it alone with powder on top. It ease the makeup application and making face look flawless :3 

It claims to be a matte primer, but after a couple of hours, my face starting to 'shine' again and be oily again and I need to re-touch up (I used it alone without foundation). So yea it does give the matte finishes at first but not for a long time.
I don't know about the long-lasting result if using it with foundation on top because I only wear it for only half an hour during that time haha.

And ohh and I would like to show you the MUA products that i got before this haul..

It's MUA lipstick in shade 13 (left) and shade 11 (right) 

The lipsticks has a glossy finishes and really really pigmented. It also has a pleasant smell :)

If you would love to purchase anything from MUA, i would highly recommend you to buy it without any hesitation! The price is very affordable and the product you get is really really good despite the price. There are products that I don't like from this purchase and i did write some of my opinion about the products. Hope it will help you to choose their product range in the future :)

Collective Haul during semester break

Assalamualaikum and hi to all! Happy Saturday :D

I shopped A LOT during my break. I got plenty of time to spend and I can't control the urge to shop! hahaha. I hope I won't shop like crazy like this during my study time :/ or else I can't save for projects cost etc. (I studied Building Surveying and it requires quite a lot of money for big projects/assignments + we have class field trip every semester).

There are not only beauty products that I recently bought, quite a number of clothings and bags and shoes etc. but this post will only focus on beauty products :)

1. MAKEUPS :)

These are everything I collected during my semester break. Crazy isn't it? haha some of them are purchased during my Singapore trip with my bestfriend, Wiida :)

What we're excited the most about Singapore is the 'existence' of LUSH store and NARS counter. It was such an experience to be able to shop in LUSH (yeayyyy) but i didn't buy anything in NARS counter because it's so expensive :(

These is what i got from LUSH :) 

Besides Haul in Singapore trip, I also went crazy and bought pretty much makeup products and tools online, and at the mall (SEPHORA and Watsons)

This is Real Technique Travel Essential Kit Brushes and on the right is essence smokey eye brush. I really really really really really love them! I have used every single brush, and I love them all I would say I love them equally but I love the powder brush more hahah because it's so fluffy and soft and really good. This is basically the best brush I had, (because I don't own any expensive brushes or brush set) The retail price in US is only $16 but guess what, I bought this set for RM90 :( sad but yeah I really want it and I don't live in US hahah. I bought it here

The essence smokey eye brush is great for applying eye shadow in your crease or even highlighting your brow bone or inner corner of the eyes. i owned 1 of this before but i believed i miss placed it somewhere and i couldn't find it. My friend told me that essence have restocked their products in Watsons so i went to check it out in the nearest mall (The Mines and Alamanda) but no, it's the same old, touched and dirty products left there. i bought this when I went to Watsons in Tesco The Curve with my friends and i got so excited because the essence rack there was full of new stuffs. I always love essence :) 

These are the mascaras i bought recently. From left, essence 'get BIG lashes volume curl mascara', essence 'get BIG lashes volume boost mascara' and SILKYGIRL Big Eye mascara. 

I went crazy when I found a rack full of newly restocked items of essence products in Watsons Tesco The Curve so i bought TWO of their new range of mascara. i have tried essence multi action: smokey eye mascara and essence multi action:false lashes mascara and i love both. But I would say that the multi action mascara range is better than this range (get big lashes). I don't know but I always get that exciting "whoaaa" feeling when applying multi action mascara but I think this new range of mascara is pretty ordinary hahaha

But i love them though :)

I bought SILKYGIRL Big Eye mascara because Wiida recommended it to me. i love the formula, but i hate the wand. it's hard and sometimes it'll be really hard to work with. But the formula is awesome, it gave you the fibre effects to lengthen your lashes and easy to remove. 

I tried to find my old essence mascara to show to you, and yeayy luckily i did not throw this out yet. (dah kering dah mascara ni :p) I really love this mascara :D 

I am so 'setia' with maybelline when it comes to eyeliner hehe. I love them so much. I tried the Maybelline crayonbrow and I love it!! it's just the perfect brow pencil for me. The color range offer are not really dark and my brows are botak at the first place haha so i can't use any dark color as it will look harsh on me. I also love the crayonliner. Recently I bought the Gel liner and its.. realllyyyy.. good!!!! omg no wonder people raved so much about it. hehe i love them! muah!

So I went to Sephora, and bought these (not at the same time though)

CANMAKE Perfect Styling Eyes 

It's like the ordinary natural palette BUT this palette has a different kind of shimmer effect on the product. It used multicolor  glitter instead of sliver/gold glitter. It's interesting and i love it.

I wish to have this Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lips Stain Balm for a looonnggg time but yet I don't have the chance. Watsons was having some promotion discount and i got 10% discount for this. i got myself 020 Lovesick Passionnee, a bright pinkish fuchsia color. But when I got home (after buying it) and tried it, I don't think I like the color hahaha because it's too bright and 'pop' and it will be nice if I bought in a softer shade. maybe next time :p

Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder. I really want to try this thing out. I watched many makeup gurus raved and use this in their videos so I really want to try and finally I found an online shop that 'pre-order' these for their customers. i bought it here 

If you always buy products directly from their site, this product can be bought in Camera Ready Cosmetics site :) 

I tried this and walllaaahhhh it literally makes my skin flawless, brighter and smoother hihi. I feel pretty wearing it. But it's not convenient/practical as the touch up on-the-go as it comes in a 'talcum' bottle and not in the compact version. But I did found some youtubers who compacted/pressed these powder to an empty compact powder case to easily travel with it. 

BODY CARE PRODUCTS:

I am sooo into body care products lately and I don't mind spending a little bit on these stuffs :/ hahah because I love my body (daaa of course) and I love everything that have nice and pleasant smell. 

It nothing much, but for me it's quite a lot haha. 

Lush products I bought. SNOW FAIRY shower gel, SWEETIE PIE shower jelly and SHIMMY SHIMMY massage bar. and I LOVE THEM ALL 

SNOW FAIRY shower gel: It said on the bottle, "the smell of candy floww and pear drops transports you back to days of standing in the sweet shop with your pocket money clasped in your fist, trying to decide what to buy" Well, yeah it does smell so so so sweet like candy and bubblegum! the smell is so sweet and strong. I used it in our hotel room in Singapore and the whole room smell delicious and yummy just like you are having shower all the time :B I love it because it's pink and I love it because of the sweet scent. 

SWEETIE PIE shower jelly: It said on the bottle cap "If a bar of soap and a bottle of shower gel had a steamy affair, this would be the resulting jelly, baby" hihi, I never tried this, honestly. But Wiida tried several times and she said it's best to use it with cold water so don't use this with hot shower or else it will melt. This one also, have a bubble gum/candy smell and I can't wait to try it :B

SHIMMY SHIMMY massage bar: it said it's a massage bar. the one you used before massaging your body or anyone else's body :B and it is VEERRYYY shimmery. verry verrrrrryyyy shimmery. I would say instead of using it as a massage bar, you can also use it as body butter. The consistency is very smooth to your skin and the glitter effects are perfect for night out or somthing. But yeah, I don't wanna use it and go out looking like a cullen clans :/ hahaha. 

Heathcote and Ivory vintage collection nourishing hand & nail cream with shea butter in mimosa and pomegranate. It's actually a pack of 3x30ml but 1 of them i gave to my mom already so the yellow one i put in my handbag for everyday use and the pink one is as a backup. 

It smells soooo gooodddd ...  I really like the smell. And it does not feel sticky after applying it. i have a sweaty palm and hand cream always scares me because it will melt away with the water on my palm but not this one. The smell is quite strong, and even when you wash your hand the smell are still there (just first time, second time the smell will be gone lah)

And, i found out that these products of Heathcote & Ivory and also Cath Kidson, can be found in Sephora. 

SOAP & GLORY!!! my fav! hehe

I used the cream bath in CLEAN,GIRLS and i love it so much and I need to buy another bottle as backup. I decided to buy the other one, CLEAN ME creamy clarifying Showe Gel just to try out. It also states that it has body lotion 'built-in' the shower gel so your skin will be more moiturized?? haha i'm not sure I don't try it out yet. I also decided to try the shampoo GLAD HAIR DAY ultra shine super shampoo because it smells good haha i said earlier i love everything that smells good. I tried it and yeah it does smells good on my hair but i have a thick and long hair and this shampoo made my hair a bit dried out? maybe because i did not use it with the S&G conditioner but i did use it with LOREAL conditioner and sometimes with LOREAL hair mask and it works pretty well together. But i still love it, because of it's nice fruity smell :D
