Too Faced 'A Few of my Favourite Things' Palette Review

Hai! How are you? :)

Okay. I've been eyeing for this palette for a very long time. It came out in US I think in November or October something around that time, and it's been raved among beauty gurus all the time! I just could not wait for this palette. It arrived Sephora Malaysia in December? I guess but at that time i was broke. hahaha. Original retail price was RM169, but my friend, Wiida told me that this palette's price has been marked down to RM134! OMG that's a lot. And after lots of thinking and considering that I will get 20 eyeshadows, 2 blushers, 2 bronzers, 1 lip stain balm and 1 mascara + cute chevron patterned makeup bag, why not? It's really worth every penny and it's a really great deal. So finally I got it.. and I have no regret :D (BIG GRINN)

(This is just a review on the palette, lip product, mascara and makeup bag were not included in this review)

A few of my favourite things - Too Faced palette.

First Impression:
1. The pink and gold chevron pattern is soooo cute and girly. I really love that the design is ffun-looking and unique from other palette available in stores.
2. The material for the palette is cardboard-type with magnetic at the end so it is can be closed and secured.
3. The size of the products I get in this palette is more than enough. I got 20 x 1.6g eye shadows (MAC single eye shadow contained 2.2g and will cost RM68-85) so it's totally a great steal. I also got 2 x 4g blushers and 2 x 4g bronzers.
4. The only thing I could wish to come in this palette is a mirror. But it's okay just the way it is :D

Eye Shadows:
1. Snowflakes - Shimmery yellow tone cream. perfect for highlighting tear duct.
2. Whiskers on Kittens - Pastel peach with gold glitter.
3. Chocolate Milk - Just imagine chocolate milk. seriously. It's perfect for transitioning/blending colour and the texture is so lovely soft and buttery :D
4. Moon on Their Wings - Glitter glittery champagne colour.
5. Dark Chocolate - Dark matte brown. Really pigmented but I find it quite hard for blending. Perfect for eyebrow and liner.
6. Cream Colored Ponies - Matte cream / off-white colour. I am amazed with how pigmented this shadow are! usually we don't get a very pigmented white shadow. But this one, it's just perfect, soft, creamy, buttery and easy to blend.
7. Honey Honey - Gold.
8. Buche de Noel - I would say the colour is quite similar to Dark Horse in Naked palette (Urban Decay).
9. Evergreen - oh I love this shade! But this is totally not everyday colour for me, but I just love the shade and the texture and pigmentation is really good.
10. Blue Satin Sashes - Matte deep sea green with gold glitter.
11. Coquet - This is quite a strange shadow in this palette as it looks like pink shadow with lots of gold and beige glitter in it. but when I swatch it, there is nothing pink appear. But anyhow, I still love it. haha.
12. Taffy - Pastel Pink. I would say it is satin finish (tiny amount of fine glitters).
13. Crisp Apple Strudle - My other favourite shade! hehe. Shimmery taupe shade.
14. Woolen Mittens - Like Chocolate Milk, but the tone is cooler.
15. Soiree - I love this kinda burgundy maroon shade but the texture is kinda hard to blend.
16. Tinsel - Shimmey olive hues with lots of gold shimmer. Peningnya. haha.
17. Bluff - My other fav! haha. Pastel Indigo and shimmery.
18. Ooh La Orchid - Violet. This one did disappoint me because it is chalky and not pigmented.
19. Party Time - Another shade that disappoint me. The colour looks soo intense and pretty on the pan, When I first saw it I literally felt like dipping my eye lid to the shadow (???) but it just look pretty on the pan, not when I swatched it.
20. Pure Glam - Shimmey black.

Blusher and Bronzer:
1. Raindrops on Roses - Doll pink with some shimmers
2. Melt into Spring - Warm peachy pink (MY FAV!!)
3. Chocolate Soleil - Medium tone bronzer with chocolate scent! (Sorry for bad swatch in the picture)
4. Sun Bunny - Shimmery bronzer.

Okay that's all.
Thank you :D

Butterfly Project Chapter 4: Mr Lens shopping experience

Hai! sorry for a very long hiatus. I was busy with my FYP and other school's assignments and I just submitted my final draft, so it should be okay now to blog hehe.

I have been given an opportunity by Butterfly Project to write a review on a shopping experience at Mr Lens Malaysia. Thanks Butterfly project and Mr Lens! :)

Mr Lens is an online shop to buy contact lenses and glasses for your precious eyes. Remember whenever you need to restock your lenses but you are so busy to go to the optic shop just to buy a pair or few pairs of lenses? Well, technology made it easier, girls :D We can now shop the lenses on-line! yeayyyyy!! And plusss.. The price offered in Mr Lens is the same and lower compared to walk in to optic shop for lenses shopping.

Shopping at Mr Lens is soo easy and the website is so user friendly. I did not experienced any trouble throughout ordering the lenses and I received within 2 working days! I am soo not going out to buy lenses after this hehehe. This website just save my time and cost. Weeeee!!! >_< (so happy to discover an awesome online shop)

Just follow this simple and easy 5 steps and you will enjoy your new lenses in as short as one day! *depends on the stock available and location of your shipping address*

STEP 1 : Go to www.mrlens.com.my

STEP 2: Sign up

STEP 3: Start shopping!!!!! Who doesn't love to shop right? hehehe. You can find almost all brands that were sold in optic shop, here! I personally as contact lens wearer, I would have a hardtime to hunt for lenses sales and good deals (especially during festive season) but I never need to do that again because Mr Lens offer such an amazing price for the same products sold at the optic shop! You can see it yourself once you click awesome price! I wear contact lenses all the time and I always stock up my favourite Freshkon Colourblends. The normal price for a pair of lens is about RM60-80 if we buy it at optic shop and we can get deals like buy 2 free 1 during sales sometimes. But Mr Lens offered RM39 for each pair! aaaaaaaaaa!!!! can die la like this hahahhaa.

STEP 4: Add to cart and choose preferences. The power degree choices is from -0,00 to -10,00 so you don't need to be afraid. With my high eye power degree, I normally need to wait an extra 3 to 4 working days for the stocks to arrive whenever I walk in shopping in optic shop. Mr Lens's policy is about the same, you need to wait extra few days for ordering the stocks, but I personally don't care about it at all because I don't need to go out and drive just to go to the shop twice if I walk in shopping at optic shop. I just need to wait at my house, just wait for the package to arrive. But, throughout my first experience with Mr Lens, I just need to wait for 2 working days after ordering so that is fast!! (My power degree is higher than -5,00 and the policy said for power more than -5,00, customer may need to wait up to 3 days because they need to order the lenses)

STEP 5: Checkout. Pay and wait for your package to arrive! hihi.

Payment methods;

They will also update you about the status of your order through email

The package will arrive 1-3 working days and you can track it.

So what did I got for myself? I bought Colourvue 3 Tones in Green >_< I have tried it once few months back in colour violet so this time I chose Green hihi.

Wanna see how it looks like on my eyes? :D

* ayo malu dengan dark circle hahaha sorry for the nearly bare face :3 *

The outer ring is dark green nearly black so after the lens blended with my natural eye color (black), the only obvious colour could be seen is the middle ring which is hazel-green. My eyes is quite big and rounded so I do not prefer the "big eye effect" contact lens which has larger diameter. Overall, this contact lens is comfortable for everyday use and it can last up tp 3 months :D

Brand: Colourvue
Type: 3 Tones
Based curve: 8.6 mm
Diameter: 14 mm
Colours: Grey, Blue, Green, Brown, Violet
Price: Normal Price is RM123 but Mr Lens sell it for only RM90 *wink wink*

Waitttt.... There's more from Mr Lens!

The shipping is flat rate RM6 for west Malaysia & RM9 for east Malaysia and using Pos Laju courier service.

Wait...

Do you live in Shah Alam, Petaling Jaya, Puchong, Sungai Buloh, Subang Airport, Subang Jaya, Kuala Lumpur, Ampang or Batu Caves?

Mr Lens offers FREE SHIPPING for shipping address to these areas!!

There are also service for refill express, which with 1 click, they will send out your lenses according to your records of  previous purchases. Wah memang kasi senang kerja lah.

Theres nothing more to say here except..

Go to MR LENS like, right now!!!! haha totally worth it buying your lenses here >_<

Okay, that's it this time :D
Cheers!

Review: Kryolan Supracolor Foundation

Hi all!
Have you ever heard about Kryolan? I'm sure a lot of you guys know well about this product. They are famous for their high coverage foundation and they also made other types of makeup products as well.
Well, I have used kryolan foundation before, but during those years where I joined Malay traditional dance team where all dancers used kryolan foundation stick. Haha I just borrowed from my dancer friend because I am not majoring in dancing, but in building so stage performance is just a hobby and what i did in my free time.
Okay back to the product.. I purchased trial pack of Kryolan Supracolor Foundation in two shades. This is a 'repack' packaging by the seller and it's smaller (10gm) than the full sized container which contains 55ml of the product. I got two shades which are shade 4W and 3W. There are quite a lot of shades to choose from.

Source: here

So here is my face before and after applying the foundation..

Bare face. Got serious dark eye circle there.

After applying 1 layer of Supracolor Foundation in 4W and another 1 layer around under eye and the bridge of the nose using 3W. Shade is perfect my my skintone.
*Please note in the picture, I did put on a bit of contouring using bronzer powder, blusher, and loose powder.

Close up look of my skin with Supracolor Foundation.

FIRST IMPRESSION

So, the day I tested out this product, I did went out to run some errands. And at the end of the day I decided to took picture of me wearing the same makeups because the staying power is quite amazing. I thought this foundation can be a bit scary because it's oil base and the texture is so creamy. But, it did not shows oily on my skin and in the picture. You can see the pictures below.

Time applying: 2.00pm
*This is right after I applied the foundation + bronzer + blush + loose powder

4.00 pm. I went out to run some errands and eating ice cream :D

6.45 pm. I just went back home and took a picture before I remove all the makeups. Seriously you guys, I literally look like I just put my makeup on! the staying power is walahwehhh hahaha. No wonder there's a lot of makeup artist in Malaysia choose this foundation.

WHY I LOVE THIS PRODUCT?

* High coverage. No need to wear any concealer for my dark under eye circle. I got major problem with it, I seriously think this work better than my concealers.

* Smooth application. Because of it's oil base and creamy texture.
* POWER PUNYE staying power hahahha. Usually when I wear any liquid foundation, the foundation will wiped out around my nose and I will need to touch up. But not this one.

WHERE TO BUY?
Pemborong Kosmetik KZ (I bought here)

LAST NOTE
* I applied this product using a damp sponge with dabbing motion.
* I have normal skin but sometimes my T-zone area can get a little bit oily.
* My shade is 4W, I am in shade MAC NC30 :D
* The pictures of me as shown above are not retouched. Taken using Iphone 4s camera.

That's all from me, Thank You for reading! :D

Halloween: Disney Villain's Ursula Makeup Inspired

If any of you are going to a halloween party or a costume party, and still finding idea on what to wear and what makeup to put on, i would like to share one :)
Actually these are the look that i did for a contest organized by Colours Cosmetics Malaysia which is around 2 months ago. The theme is Disney so contestants can choose which ever character to recreate. I chose Ursula because I think she actually has a nice makeup on :P hahaha even she lives underwater! I guess her makeups must be waterproof one hehe. I have fun recreating this look which is inspired by Ursula, the Sea Witch.

Products Used:
For Face-
Revlon Colorstay Foundation in Warm Golden
Maybelline Mineral Concealer in 02
Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Banana
Blue and Purple eyeshadows for contouring and shading
MAC Blush in Fleur Power
Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle
*You can use silver eyeshadow as highlighter for a more dramatic look*

For Eyes-
Maybelline Crayonliner in Black for eyebrow, fake beauty mark and tightliner
Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner in Black for eyebrow and eyeliner
NYX Jumbo eye pencil in Milk for eyeshadow base
Coastal Scent 88 Original Palette for Eyeshadows. Colour used Dark Blue, Purple, Turqoise Blue, Yellow, Lime Green.
Red Cherry eyelashes in #43
Maybelline Rocket Mascara
Elianto Pretty Doll Eyes Mascara

For Lips-
Revlon Matte Lustrous Lips in Really Red

This may not look like Ursula at all, I know. But this is what I could came up with. For more similar Ursula's look, u can use white paint mix with purple pigment and apply to your face as a base. then you can create the above eye look and contouring using the products I listed above. Have a nice weekend everyone!
